2012 Launch Event and Sending Service
7-10:30pm – William Way Community Center – 1315 Spruce St
This is an event not to be missed! Spend an evening with the 2012 Equality Riders and then send them off on their two month journey as only Philly can! This evening will feature top notch entertainment, appetizers, drinks, networking, a silent auction featuring amazing packages and items from some of Philly’s finest venues, awards ceremonies, and a special tribute to the Equality Ride program.
The evening will start with an hour designed for communicating and networking. Folks from all of Philly’s finest organizations will be present. Eat, drink, and listen to the smooth spinning of one of Philly’s most talented DJs. At 8pm the evening shifts into a very special presentation honoring the history of the Equality Ride, the current participants, and local leaders in the LGBTQ community. Stick around after for more gab time and then participate in a touching sending ceremony designed to fill the hearts of the 2012 Riders with all of the love and acceptance Philly can muster.
Space is limited so advanced tickets are recommended. Purchase tickets here. The cost of admission is on a sliding scale and no one will be turned away for their inability to pay. Suggested ticket cost is $40. All profits go to benefit the 2012 Equality Ride.
